Mobile Thing 5

Bamboo Paper was the app I tried out.  Unfortunatley I found it rather clumsy to use and not very usefull unless I have a writing stylus.
With that being said though, I do think it would be a good tool to have for those impromptu meetings that happen in libraries sometimes.  I appreciate that you can draw as well as write almost as if you had paper and pen.

23 mobile things number 4

I really enjoyed the Zite app as it's layout really does look like a magazine.  The different stories that it pulled up really did a good job of matching the headlines of the 4 topics I was interested in, and it was very easy to touch a story and go to it's original site.  I definately can see advantages to this sort of specialized news coverage for patrons at the library because they wouldn't have to search many different websites in order to get todays headlines on the topics that they would want.

23 Things Step 3

Of the utilities that I think would be used most for library or information would be google search.
This utility is good for gathering many possible answers to a signle query and presenting it in a was that can be scanned fairly quickly when looking up a topic.

23 mobile things step 2

I learned some things about how to use my I Pad mini. I didn't know that I had those features that were hidden on the bottom and top bars. At first I couldn't get it to work but then discovered that some of the reason it was hard was because of the protection case was blocking my finger from grabbing the black bar.

Bad beginnings....

I found setting up this blog to involve a rigorous security check almost as difficult as boarding an airliner, but after many, many, many attempts, I finally was able to set up this blog. Ugh!
